Inner Tide

Anette von Eichel’s «Inner Tide»
With her new band project Inner Tide, Anette von Eichel releases an album for the first time featuring exclusively her own compositions and lyrics.
For this project, Anette von Eichel has selected some of Germany’s most renowned jazz musicians, but above all, her favorite collaborators: Sebastian Sternal on piano, Henning Sieverts on bass, Jonas Burgwinkel on drums, and on a few tracks, Jasper Blom from the Netherlands on tenor saxophone. The production, as well as the live performances with the band, are filled with playful energy and joy of music-making. A true experience!
Kaleidoscopia

Anette von Eichel’s Kaleidoscopia
A warm evening, somewhere between summer and autumn, in early September, out in the flat countryside of the American South, in the 1930s or 1940s. A radio is playing, the wind gently moves the curtains. Someone sits in a comfortable armchair, listening to jazz on the radio. Piano, saxophone, and vocals—songs telling stories of people, of longing and dreams.
The new edition of Anette von Eichel’s Kaleidoscopia, featuring Marko Lackner on saxophone and Simon Seidl on piano, explores the typical archaic songs of jazz from that era. It is inspired by the original harmonies of the Broadway versions while also incorporating original compositions by the three musicians, which reflect the style of the time. Chamber-like, lyrical jazz, enriched with a modern jazz trio approach and a great joy of playing.

Voices Noises Lungs ‘n’ Tongues
