Projects

Inner Tide

Anette von Eichel’s Inner Tide bursts with wildly poetic acoustic jazz—full of space for improvisation, dynamics, contemplation, and the joy of interplay. For this project, Anette has chosen some of Germany’s most renowned jazz musicians, but above all, her favorite musical companions.

Kaleidoscopia

The new edition of Anette von Eichel’s Kaleidoscopia, featuring Marko Lackner on saxophone and Simon Seidl on piano, explores the typical archaic songs in jazz from that era. It draws inspiration from the original harmonies of the Broadway versions while also incorporating original compositions by the three musicians.

Voices Noises Lungs ‘n’ Tongues

VoicesNoisesLungs’n’Tongues ist das experimentelle und wilde Bandabenteuer von Anette von Eichel am Gesang und Christof Thewes an der Posaune. Teaching & workshops:
Anette as a music mediator

Anette discovered her love of teaching jazz and jazz singing at an early age. After various teaching commitments in Germany and the Netherlands, she has been Professor of Jazz Singing at the Cologne University of Music and Dance since 2010.

As far as jazz singing is concerned, it is important to Anette to always see and develop her students’ voices in the context of the music. Every path to your own voice is different. Anette’s vocal technique is therefore based on various approaches, such as functional voice training, but also modern bel canto and ideas from EVTS, CVT or sun-moon and voice. In addition to the healthy technical development of the voice, important points for her are making music in a jazz context with its interpretation, improvisation and interplay.

For those interested in higher education, Anette can be contacted at Anette.vonEichel@hfmt-koeln.de. She arranges private lessons with colleagues on request.

In addition to her work at the university in Cologne, Anette can also be booked as a workshop lecturer. The workshops focus on jazz singing, improvisation and jazz ensemble, as well as jazz vocal ensembles and vocal work with theater groups. If you are interested in a workshop, please send Anette an email.
